    Hi
you didn't say how ol your puppy was?
He may well be in pain dogs don't show pain and if he's had it for a while they just normalise and carry on. They dont always cry they are very stoical
Could be many things like over exercise, to much free running too much leaping about too much chasing balls and strained muscles, joint problems growth problems. They can range right through the spectrum. Logically if its something new it is more than likely a strain from just throwing themselves about.A rest from all exercise and very light walking about the house and garden can help with this. Try to see if its a leg thing or shoulder and if it does not improve quickly see your vet. Pups bone growth and muscle development goes through different stages and it can lead to sore legs and limping sometimes.
I use cold packs and leg stretches as advised by my dogs physio but I would check with my vet before you do anything like that. 2 of my pups have s limped at different stages in their lives and that was due to too much ball chasing for one and too much jumping about for the other. I find they often look fine on a walk then stiffen up when they've been for a sleep after.

    Hope youre pups ok

How long has the limp been evident? First step is restricted exercise which means a short walk, once a day, on lead with no off lead time. No running, jumping, chasing etc for a few days and monitor. If ni limp gradually increase exercise again but keep monitoring. My vet advises the walk to be no more 15 minutes. Having a dog with ED my instinct is to say see the vet, apart from the limp Juno showed no pain at any time but her pain would have been quite significant. Let us know how you get on. Fingers crossed that all is well.

Hello there and welcome to the forum

It's impossible to say anything about why your puppy might be limping - without more details. Any limp that doesn't resolve itself within a day or so and you should consult a vet.
