We have wolves in Oregon and Washington, but few people ever see them. Mostly ranchers in the Eastern side of the state, but we now have evidence that they have crossed the state into the Cascades and also Southern Oregon. One collared wolf, OR7 went all the way across the state and then South into California search of a mate. No one thought there were any other wolves there, but he found one and started a new pack in SW Oregon. Coyotes are really common here, but they don't mess with people or large dogs. Eastern Coyotes are a Coyote Wolf cross and are bigger than their Western cousins. Cougars are a lot bigger threat to people and dogs here.
