Actually, I just realised they're Saxaphone rather than Saxophone. That's going to annoy me now! I wonder if I can convince myself it was an intentional spelling and is, maybe, pronounced "Sax-a-fon-ee"?

Saxaphone Gundogs are just down the road from me and I have met and worked with some of their great dogs, including the famous Saxaphone Express!

Finn is a carpenny. His mother was bought in England. Euan is a mix of show and working line. He is from Belgium.

I suppose it's not a massive surprise our dogs have some related ancestry, since Jake and Ruby, the parents of my two, came to France from Edinburgh. I suppose that the majority of matings are somewhat local affairs.

Being new to Labs, these names mean next to nothing to me!

Ooh, ooh Anne123 and Beanwood Ella's great great grandmother is a Carpenny! ☺ Her grandfather was Brigburn that was exported from the UK to Australia.

I don't really know what I'm looking at on these pedigree documents but I can tell all of the names except for one. Does anyone know what this means? Is there a name in there somewhere?
