I only wormed Chepi 2 weeks ago and little white balls have appeared in her poo. Phoned the vet who said to worm again. Has anyone else used advantage and Droncit 2-3 weeks from the previous dose instead of a month?

Sometimes the worms can appear as a result of being wormed - the wormer has caused them to be passed. But do as your vet says and worm again - they are the experts after all!!!

Yes, I saw worms just after I wormed her about two and a half weeks ago but they have just appeared again. Also, a different shape from 2 weeks ago so maybe a different worm or worm egg! Yuk :(

Blast! Chepi is watching Marley and me and getting more ideas about mischief making! So, the poor thing is suffering sloppy poos today and got me up early to go out. I should have checked her crate. I was just tidying it and discovered she didn't manage to hold it last night. I missed it in the rush to get ready for work. She woke up and came to see what I was doing, grabbed the spot on treatment for worms and starting chewing!!!!!!
The best way to rescue anything from her mouth is to do swappsies with kibble, which I had to do knowing that more food was not ideal for ridding her of sloppy poos!
Having retrieved the pippett I felt compelled to apply it in case she had pictured it. Half went on and half ran down her coat.
Will she have had enough to treat the worms? I feel a failure! What a disaster (on a smallish scale).
    :( :-[ :'(

I'm sure she would of got enough, but might be worth checking with your vet.

Oh poor Chepi, hope her tummy improves soon.

Applying the flea stuff is difficult, I always find there seems to be way to much to apply!

Well....I always struggled with Frontline and worried it was going in or on the right place.
I have defected to Bravecto now.

Shame about the Drontal tablets though......I have loads of creative ideas now though ;)

    Re: Worms!!!!!

Having contacted doggy day care this morning to say she is too unwell to come, I have learnt that the white bits in her poo came from a toy that she tore there yesterday. Apart from half an hour at the vet today she has slept the whole time. No breakfast or lunch. The vet sold me bland food and a pro biotic paste (that'll be fun!) to administer 4 times a day. Meanwhile, I have been washing her bedding and shovelling cow-pat poos up. Conveniently, I am also a little unwell and had to take a day off work. It all happens at once doesn't it? :-\

She perked up, had some bland food and water, chewed a cardboard box and went back to sleep. Very pleased she had a drink!

    Re: Worms!!!!!

Chepi vomited up the vet food about 6 hours after eating it at 11.30 last night and again at about 1 am, so I watched most of the Scottish vote monitoring her overnight. Hasn't been sick since but has very watery runs. Vet says to monitor. Waiting for her to have a drink and just sitting on the sofa stroking her. Such a worry! Please send positive vibes :'(
