Re: Worms!!!!! Getting ready for my second night on the sofa. Chepi just had her special vet food in a kong so I am expecting that to come up around midnight. . Still sometime soon I hope she will eat and it will stay down! Vet says to monitor overnight.
Re: Worms!!!!! Fingers crossed that she manages to keep it down. Harley has just had one scrambled egg and looked at me as if to say 'is that it??'
Re: Worms!!!!! Let's hope we have non eventful nights! At least I had Scotland to watch last night! ;D
Re: Worms!!!!! They are such a worry Jane. Sending get well vibes from your pals north of the border.
Re: Worms!!!!! Morning, no vomiting last night but she's not interested in food. She had the special tummy food in a kong yesterday so I will make a couple up. Still got runny poos. Hoping she has turned a corner.
Re: Worms!!!!! Jane, I've had some success with both runny stools and vomiting, albeit in two different dogs. The runny stools were in the puppy and finally disappeared with a 3-day treatment of a dewormer called SafeGuard, that mixes in the food. It's available at pet stores here and online - don't know if you could find it there. The active ingredient is fenbendazole, and it did the trick. My old girl, Molly, was vomiting everything she ate (related to her liver disease) until I started giving her one Pepcid AC tablet each morning and evening before her meal. That seemed to really help her stomach stay settled. I've been able to reduce that to once a day in the morning, and she seems fine. Don't know if these would work for you, but wanted to offer the ideas (both okayed by my vet). Good luck and I hope we all hear good news soon!
