My puppy is 3months in and she weighs 9lbs. I am worried that she's too small for a labrador, people are saying that she might be mixed. Her parents are both Labradors. I've tried everything i could just for her to gain weight and grow. What should I do?

Did you see the other pups? Were they all the same size? If you're unsure, phone the bitch's owner and ask, politely. Start to keep a record of what & how much she eats and how often, along with when she pees and poops and any other symptoms or things that strike you as odd (drooling, wretching, lack of energy, etc.). Call your vet and ask for the earliest appointment for a thorough examination. Don't let them pooh-pooh your concerns. For example calmly say "I'm not leaving until we have some understanding of what's going on and where we need to go." Expect that you will not likely come away with a diagnosis and treatment from the first the visit but you should have a good idea of what tests are needed and what the range of conditions are that need to be ruled out. I suppose the best outcome would be a smallish lab or a mix from a smaller male that got to the mom before the male lab but you will want to know that your girl is healthy, whatever her size. Please let us know what happens. Sending good thoughts.
Hi, I would watch her poos and see if they are correct or quite soft/runny. We first got Mia when she was 4 months old and she was fed ad lib by a mechanical feeder, this was not practical for us so we started feeding her 5 small meals a day and gradually decreased how often by making each meal slightly bigger. We noticed that she didn't really seem to grow any more either in weight or height for a little while and she had very soft sometimes runny poos. I have since found out through a lot of trial and error that she has a very sensitive stomach and I now have her on a food that suits her sensitive stomach, her poos started getting more 'normal' and she started to put on weight. She's not very big, I haven't measured her height recently but she still only weighs 22Kg at just over a year old and looks very slight. They all grow at their own pace, as long as she is happy and pooing well then she should be fine. If you are really unsure though maybe consult your vet.
