Thought i better get round to introducing myself. Owner of 2 rescue labradors, ages 9 and 7 and the proud owner of a 13 week old cocker spaniel puppy which is how i came across the site looking for reassurance that we were atleast going in the right direction having never had a pup before. I have 2 of Pippas books and have followed her progress since the old gundog forum she used to run.

Welcome, lovely Labs. What made you go for a Cocker? She looks very sweet. I think show Cockers are easier to live with than working ones, a little more settled!

Why a cocker? Well I'd lost my black lab boy last year to back end going. I've had 5 rescue dogs, 4 of which were labs. Due to personal circumstances changing we have the opportunity to get a pup so we decided on a show cocker as we thought it would be slightly less hard work. Turns out I was wrong
