Pongo is the most drooly labrador in the world. I just needed to share that. I've just put my hand down on the sofa next to me and into a deep pool of what looks like ectoplasm from the Ghostbusters movie.

I must remember that I love him.

Charlie is a real slobber chops. Funny, I didn't used to think so, but after the battery eating event, which made him slobber like mad, it never seemed to go back to normal. Or, I just notice it more!

(Are you still repeating those words "I love my puppy,?")

Could Pongo by any chance be hinting that he wants more room on the sofa?

Bud showed the first signs today of a little saliva whilst teething/nibbling on mummy's fingers. Wondering if this is an early sign of a little Pongo-in-the-making :)

I do not think that Pongo is a suitable role model in this respect. Yeuch and double yeuch.

Yep, Tony, I think that's a pretty sound rule of thumb. I can only apologise for Pongo's bad influence on Bud's diary thread. I really do hope that he doesn't lead your innocent young boy astray...

I think Bud looks up to Pongo a tiny bit in awe simply because of the rebellious streak Pongo shows. Bud is young and probably thinks Pongo is a kind of superhero of the puppy world. That said, Bud will always retain his own character and respect, and i feel he will always know the best thing to do, way to behave and manner in which to speak (and for anyone who wonders what on earth i am talking about - you would have to read Bud's diary to realise i am not completely nuts (yet) :)

I don't think the commercial potential of dog slobber has yet been fully explored. There's a market out there for adhesive slime, I know there is!

Yes! What else, so easily available, leaves bright marks on black fabric - after the slightest contact - that can be seen from 50m?

Get in and ride the wave early, Rosie, before the rest of us flood the market (pun intended) ;D

I'm worried it could be a slippery slope and I'd come to a sticky end. :p

Heh heh....I consider myself quite fortunate that Simba doesn't take after his Newfie side in that respect. I see a little here and there, usually when he's waiting for his food ::) but nothing to speak of, really. Phew.
