    Hi all.

Yellow bitch (no name yet) coming home on the 15th June.
Booked the week off after to house break her and she will be crated.
Has a great pedigree behind her so should have some brains as well as looks :)

Had two Labs before but been a long time since having a pup so nervous about it.

Hi Mr Grumpy! Welcome to the forum.

Don't let them name your dog.

I'm sure that your new pup will greatly enliven things but that it'll also be a wonderful experience :)

    Hi.
I'm very fussy on the name.
Must be inline with the colour of her but like to be different.
Don't like the going down the route of Goldie/Butercup/Blonde you know names like that (if that makes sense).
So feel free to name away.

The only name that sticks out and the wife come up with was Cheddar .
And the kids like it as well.

Not going to work her but will use a dummy and whistle for training.

    Thanks

    Ohhh.....;)...do you like Cheddar?

You want something related to yellow though....honey, flaxen, dijon (I like that for a yellow dog),

I only like cheese on my pizza and nachos as can't stand it.
    I'm very strange and Grumpy.

Hmmm Dijon not bad and I already thought of mustard but forgot about this.

And no I'm not calling it pizza.

If you are going to go down the Cheese route you could expand your search to include various varieties.

There is the French roule for when she has rolled in something mildly disgusting. For non UK members it is a cream cheese with a seam of garlic and herbs through it.

Or Yarg. A hard Cornish cheese which is wrapped in nettles. Would look like she'd rolled in something truely disgusting, but would probably win you brownie points with one or more of our mods

No not going down the cheese route but like the sound of cheddar.
