The photos don't show it well, but Yogi's hair between his eyes comes together with a peak. I can't seem to get it to show in the photo well, but it is very obvious in real life. Not sure if it will be a permanent thing, looks like a seam line
Lovely and yes I can see it. Annie has the same sort of thing down from her eyes to her nose. She was born with it and still has it now she is 1.
Yes, we call it a zipper line. Luna has a very faint one, which shows up better in some pictures than in real life. There are a couple of other forum doggies that have them, too. They're adorable
Ah a zipper line, glad to hear it might be permanent, I thought he might just be going through a rebellious young punk rock phase
Bailey has quite a long zipper which extends from between his eyes down towards his nose. I've mentioned before that we call it his seam where all his stuffing was pushed in and then sewn shut! It is very cute and we assume it will stay as he is now nearly 11 months old- I have no idea where the last 9 months have gone! He has grown in to a very beautiful life companion and I wouldn't change a hair on his head.
Zippers are cute to see. Sometimes they are a darker colour on the yellows. Good thing my dog doesn't have one as I like to ruffle them backwards and that must be annoying to them. I wish I had a photo of Jet's mohawk. Her's went from her neck to the base of her tail and was a couple of inches high. It was brown, on a black dog, and very stiff, coarse hair. All down her spine, like a mane on a horse, a bay with the colours reversed.
That is so cute! I'll have to see if I can get a good pic of Burke's fur. As a first-gen lab-standard poodle cross, he has a pretty funny coat. It's lab on the sides and legs with a little poodle-y fringe on his legs, but it's half-poodle from his head all the way down the top of his back through his tail. Like four inches long and wavy-curly. People ask me if I groomed him into a Mohawk! Ha! "Nope, he just came that way." He also has an orange/apricot poodle-y beard and mustache and long apricot "eyebrows." His poor beard is all torn up from Bessie biting at his face, though! Much shorter than it used to be.
