    Or you buy an estate car for the dog. Two years before you actually get the dog :-[

    Early days you have bags under your eyes, scratches and teeth marks over all visible flesh, and go around in shredded clothes.
    Later, you have poo bags, treats and resultant crumbs in the pockets of EVERY jacket. And your washing line is permanently draped in old grotty towels ::)

    Exactly! Bought a Kuga 18 months ago...just in case we finally got a dog :)....now I find myself raiding charity shops for old towels, and finding to my embarrassment they are often in better condition than the ones hanging on our bathroom towel rails.. ::) :-[

    Rosie we've had the washing machine repair guy out TWICE since getting Bob... NOW I know how to extract the vet bed pieces from the filter...

    you have a clicker permanently attached to your arm as you can't be bothered to keep taking it off
