We've been taking Dawson out for a few days now and one thing has struck me...the amount of pretty young ladies that want to stop and have five minutes with our little friend.
If Pubs and clubs allowed young men with puppies into their establishments it would increase the lad's pulling power and cut down on trouble.
I wonder if a trial could be rolled out!!!

My OH would completely agree with you - at one time I seriously considered banning him from taking the puppy out for socialisation!!! :D:D:D:D

I used to take my first Lab to the pub when I was single. The pulling power of a Lab is quite astonishing, and I'm not talking about misbehaviour on the lead!

My OH told his single best mate about the Labrador pulling power and how it was definitely the best way to meet girls.

He got border terrier Basil.. who doesn't seem to have the same effect  even now when I've got them both people dart straight for Stanley.

It's the Labrador charm I think!

Oddly my wife has attracted a lot of male attention when carrying Dawson so could've give me an excuse to go down there myself!!!
If I did I'd be in the doghouse.(If you pardon the pun!!)

Dave, once again you are brightening my day.

In the US, we use the term "chick magnet" - as in, "That adorable puppy is a total chick magnet."

Oddly enough, having a Rottie was more like a "dude repellant". If what you say about your wife and Dawson holds true across the board, I would not at all mind a side benefit of a Lab puppy (when I find the little guy) becoming a "dude magnet" for me. I need all the help I can get. :D

I don't remember attracting very much male attention when socialising Stanley. But that probably says more about me to be fair..

I'm going to put it down to the fact I had massive hair and crazy eyes from sleep deprivation and the devil puppy. Yes, yes.. that's got to be the explanation o_O

Get a Lab mate it's far easier than chatting.I was extremely fortunate 22 years ago when I met someone who accepted me for who I was......
Used to go out dressed as Napoleon shouting out ,"Nation of shopkeepers nation of shopkeepers" people used to stare and say,"Thought that was Napoleon for a minute but he's got a Cockney accent".

They are total "chick magnets". I am an old guy, so I am definitely not out chasing 22 year old ladies. I take Murphy for a walk now and then to what we call the "river walk" a nice upscale area along our riverfront.

They descend on him like locusts. One time I was talking to a guy and when I turned around I could not see Murphy, he was surrounded by young women! Notice HE was surrounded, not me, and not the guy I was talking to, LOL.

i was just about to say, if anything you should be allowed to bring your puppy because it may make you drink less and be more responsible.
