Ziva can finally get out front gate :) as much as this is probably exciting to her , to me I'm feeling a bit wary.

How or what do we do If we meet another dog and owner now being out in country its usually neighbours dogs do I let her just go speak if I no they friendly enough , do I ask her to sit to wait and let other dog come to her so she not pulling me to get to dog or person .

    much appreciated

I wouldn't allow her to pull, but would let her say hello if you know the dog is friendly. If you let her pull towards a dog at this stage it will be difficult to get her out of this habit. I usually ask owners if my dog can say hi, especially if they are on lead. Some owners will say no, they are not being rude, they will have their reasons. They could be on lead for numerous reasons (injury, recent op, reactive etc).
Hope you both enjoy your first walk. Make sure you don't walk too far.

You can try and get her to sit or get her attention by treating her and rewarding calm behaviour as you get closer. She will be inquisitive, but will stay close to you at such a young age

Yes, just get her to sit at a distance where she can concentrate and feed her a stream of treats if you need to to keep her sitting there for a couple of seconds. Then when you're ready say a release cue (meaning 'you can say hi or do your own thing now'....choose any word you like. I say 'say hello') and let her say hi.

Hope her first on-ground adventures go really well :)

What did she do ......... her usual nipping /biting straight onto my wrist even had teeth marks. So it was straight back into crate and she was left bedtime 11.45.

So up 6.45am all ready for another day but today she going into crate 15/20 after getting out of it to try and stop behaviour before it starts ;D dont get me wrong last week she has done really well but I need to do better and it's clear its tiredness that's causing it .

Oh dear, but so typical of our darling puppies. One step forward, two steps back :). Just stay calm and consistent and Ziva will get there with you.

I was tired last night and as soon as she did it well enough was enough .

I do no it l get better but I am struggling a little so after last night I decided today that she be out rate for short time then back in but although she settles in my head I don't know if I doing right thing . Puppies are hard work lol lol and never remember the 2 boys being anywhere near as this ,however she is a baby and needs to learn so lets hope by being out crate then into garden or short lead walk then back into crate after 15/20 she get message and before nipping starts. but it is what pups do so kinda confused lol lol In my head she not had wee for ??? what if she needs and I put her in her crate . worry ,worry ,worry that's me

Sorry for the moan just feeling deflated today

I was lucky with Juno as she was never very bitey, I think one of the main reasons being she was 10 weeks old (the norm here in France) before she left mum and her litter mates so has learnt a lot about bite inhibition. When she was becoming a bit goo enthusiastic I used to distract her with a toy. Juno's preference has always been for a squeaky toy and squeaky toys are so good for distraction :). When she was little she had a Kong Air toy like dumbells. Well we actually got through two of those when she was little and she now has the large size which has just lost it's squeak so will have to order another. Try not to put Ziva in the crate for a timeout if she is too persistent as the crate is her safe place. It's always harder when you're feeling down and there seems to be no improvement, that's why we come to forum - for help and support - oh and try not too worry, after the bitey stage you've got teething and chewing to look forward to ;D ;D :D but we all survive puppy stage

Yes I no what you mean about the putting in crate to much but you'r damned if you do damned if you don't, distraction from toys doesn't really work with her and we tried loads ,even tried asking her to sit which Is no joy either cause she just keeps coming back for more nips lol so this is the only way I can see but time will tell
