Can't seem to upload photo but my gorgeous golden girl came home yesterday. Had a great day, she was perfect in the car, wee'd and poo'd in the garden (with one accident inside) and played well with the kids. I'd planned to take her up to bed with me but she was so settled in her bed I left her and got a full night's sleep! She has a toilet area at the end of the pen and when I came down this morning it was very pooie and she was sitting in it, is this because she didn't want to go back in her bed and make it dirty or just what they do! One accident this morning but I think that's cos she was over excited with my youngest

    How exciting!

I wouldn't worry about the poop accident - these things happen. The first night is a big challenge for them, away from the on;y family they've ever known. It sounds like it went pretty well, really :) Accidents during the day are par for the course too. Over time she'll develop both the bladder control and the motivation not to wee in the house - she'll get there.

Glad you got a full night's sleep on the first night - not many new puppy owners can boast about that :)

Great to hear the first night went well.
Seem to remember at one point wondering if I had enough bedding to cope with night time accidents too, but soon was sorted.
    Bless her.
@Cherry to upload a phot you need to have them uploaded first to a 3rd party photo host site like Flickr or Photobucket (there are a variety of them) then copy the BBC code and paste in your post.
There are some helpful threads about it in technical and help section like THIS ONE HERE showing how to post from Photobucket.

Thanks, I think the phrase is she doing as well as can be expected, ie weeing everywhere and laughing at my poor puppy proofing efforts! The other thing I hadn't anticipated was my youngests jealousy. Is a steep learning curve but we are getting there. We've been very lucky with the nights so far which is great

I'm determined to follow the advice of enjoying the puppy stage, everyone says that when you have babies but I was always to tired and anxious to enjoy them much.

You'll be fine, puppies are just like babies - they eat, they wee and they poo :D, puppies just grow up quicker :(:)
