Hiya, Doug is our new chocolate lab, he is a lovely cheeky naughty boy who has won our hearts. I'm not sure how much we should be feeding him, he has a tin of chum puppy food and 100g of puppy kibble is this too much we spread it over 4 meals a day? Any help will be welcome thank you X ps Doug is 8 weeks old

    Welcome Doug and Doug's mummy!
Others will be along soon with more experience than me, but I do know that a lot depends on the brand of food. Does the packaging have any "recommended amounts" on it?

Looking forward to hearing all about your adventures with your lovely boy. (And you will be pestered for photos soon.....we do love puppy photos....!!!)

Hello there ...welcome to the Forum...I didn't get my dog until he was 5 months old so I didn't have this period.I did feed Dexter what the breeder told me initially and swapped him very gradually onto a better quality kibble . I have never fed the quantity on the packs though ,I would probably say I feed Dexter 2/3 of the recommended amount....BUT you have a real youngster with you at the moment and he's had a big change moving in with you and leaving everything he knows behind so I wouldn't make changes with his diet until you have seen your vet ....his little puppy tum will be easily upset....
Love 'Dynamic' Doug ....I might pinch that off you for my boy as he is Dynamic ++++++

Hi and welcome from me and Juno. Can you ask your breeder as to how much to feed Doug of each? What puppy kibble are you feeding with the puppy Chum? Many of the manufacturers over estimate the quantity of food is needed so most of us reduce from the recommendation
